These awards were designed to recognize individuals with outstanding teaching skills and career contributions to the academic community. From 1997 to 2014, 24 individuals were acknowledged in two areas of achievement, Innovation in Education and Achievement in Education.
Innovation in Education
The Innovation in Education Award funded novel concepts or applications to improve educational programs and advance the practice of anesthesiology. Candidates must have demonstrated recent and documented implementation of these new educational tools and practices.
Achievement in Education
The Achievement in Education Award recognized an anesthesiology educator who substantially changed and advanced education in medicine.
