Celebrating Women in Medicine Month!
The International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) gratefully recognizes and celebrates the women of anesthesia! The women highlighted below represent just a few of the many remarkable women with whom we are fortunate to collaborate. They guide and enrich our educational programs and research efforts and provide mentorship to the next generation of leaders. IARS is proud to encourage and support women in medicine along their vital journey by ensuring access to a multitude of valuable resources and opportunities for connection with thought leaders in anesthesiology and beyond!
During 2023, IARS awarded three of its Mentored Research Awards to women anesthesiology investigators for their outstanding promise to become future leaders and further the understanding of clinical practice in anesthesiology!
The Annual Meeting Oversight Committee guides the planning and execution of the IARS Annual Meeting and other educational opportunities, such as the IARS Webinar Series, throughout the year.
The Membership Committee provides strategic direction on overall membership policies, recruitment, retention and engagement strategies, as well as advises IARS on the most meaningful member and anesthesia community experiences. The committee oversees 3 subcommittees (1. Outreach, Retention and Engagement Subcommittee, 2. International Subcommittee, 3. Online Member Community Subcommittee), each focused on specific goals and tasks around membership and engagement.
