Starting with the January 2027 issue, Anesthesia & Analgesia (A&A), the official journal of the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS), will transition to an online-only format.
This change reflects how our members increasingly access and engage with journal content and creates new opportunities to make the Anesthesia & Analgesia experience more timely, flexible and accessible.
What this means for IARS members
- Access the latest research sooner. No need to wait for a print issue to arrive. Read newly published research, reviews and commentary online as they become available.
- Read anytime, anywhere. Access A&A from your computer, tablet or phone and search the journal’s content whenever you need it.
- Experience content in new ways. Digital publishing provides opportunities to expand beyond the traditional journal format with enhanced content and multimedia features.
- Connect with research more easily. Online access makes it easier to discover, search and share the research shaping anesthesiology, all in one place.
- Reduce our environmental footprint. Moving away from print and mailing supports a more sustainable approach to delivering the journal.
What isn’t changing?
The high-quality, peer-reviewed research and clinical insights you rely on from A&A will continue. The journal’s commitment to advancing anesthesiology through impactful research and education remains at the heart of what we do.
How to access A&A online
